The Tata Iron Removal Filtration Plant consists of a high-quality 48-inch diameter × 72-inch height MS (Mild Steel) pressure vessel manufactured using Tata Steel plates. The vessel is epoxy-coated internally and externally for corrosion resistance and long service life. It is designed for efficient removal of iron from borewell and groundwater supplies.
Operating Principle
Raw groundwater enters the pressure vessel from the inlet.
The water passes through specially graded iron removal media where dissolved iron is oxidized and filtered.
The treated water exits through the outlet with significantly reduced iron content, colour, turbidity, and unpleasant odour.
The accumulated impurities are removed periodically by backwashing.
